I'm Victor Forbes, a Fullstack Developer with passion for building scalable, robust and and high-performing web applications. Over the past 5 years, I've had the privilege of working on multiple impactful projects, from modernizing large-scale e-commerce platforms to architecting custom fullstack solutions from scratch and exploring the potential of blockchain technology. My journey began with a focus on developing exceptional user interfaces using React and Angular, which provided me with a strong foundation in frontend development.
Out of curiosity and my desire to improve I expanded my skillset to also encompass the backend, working mainly with Node.js and a bit with Python I built different servers, one better than the last as my experience grew. A significant highlight of my career has been begin part of the modernization of a major e-commerce platform's JSP stack to NextJS, using a cutting-edge MicroFrontend architecture that resulted in dramatic improvements in page load times and core web vitals. I thrive in environments where I can continuously learn, innovate, and contribute to delivering high-quality solutions that truly make a difference. I'm always eager to take on new challenges and apply my expertise to help companies and projects achieve their goals.
Freelance where I developed the initial multistep form for smart contracts deployments. Developed a base repository using NextJS, Zustand and React Query. Had a immense learning on how I could use Next Server Side capabilities better instead pf just relying on the client side.
Trading platform developed in partnership with a YouTuber to manage trade operations, these were shared through a Telegram bot and the value of the assets were automatically checked through a worker connected to the broker's API. All payments and subscriptions were made through PayPal and managed by my server using webhooks.
A hackathon project developed in 2 days using Scaffold ETH and Hardhat. The concept was to create a blockchain crowdfunding platform for local events.
The website you're currently in! I developed it using Payload CMS to help me with locales, content management, and to have a bootstrapped framework I could try out and experiment. It was designed by me with Figma and has the goal of showcasing my experiences as a developer.
